Associate Course:

• Designed for all levels of staff and family that care for cognitively impaired elders. Provides a broad overview of Validation and techniques for application  in all four phases.
• Consists of one two-day and two one-day sessions.

Level I - Certified Validation Worker:

• Designed for caregivers that desire to practice Validation at all levels, give short presentations to small groups and provide support to interested individuals.
• Consists of five two-day blocks of training over 9 months. Requires 1:1 homework sessions , access to computer and completion of practical and written exam.

Level II – Validation Group Worker

• Completion of this course will prepare Worker to practice group Validation,  give support to Level I participants, and give short presentations.
• Consists of three, 2-day blocks of training over 9 months. Must practice group work for 6 months, pass written and practical exam.

Level III – Validation Teacher:

• Completion of this course will prepare Worker to teach Level I and II classes.
• Consists of two blocks of training, 3 days and 2 days.  Length of class is individualized depending on practice sessions.  Must  co-teach worker class and pass written and practical exam.
